Sun Hat Naming Competition – Terms & Conditions
1. Promoter
This competition is conducted by Lazy Doxie Co. (“Promoter”), based in Perth, Western Australia.

2. Competition Period
The competition opens at 11am AWST on 21st May and closes at 11:59pm AWST on Sunday 31 May 2026 (“Competition Period”).
Entries received after the closing date will not be accepted.

3. Eligibility
Entry is open to residents of Australia and New Zealand aged 18 years or older at the time of entry.
Employees, contractors, ambassadors, affiliates and immediate family members of Lazy Doxie Co. are not eligible to enter.

4. How to Enter
To enter, participants must complete the official competition entry form available on the Lazy Doxie Co. website during the Competition Period.
Entrants may submit name ideas for one or more hat colours.
Only one entry form submission per person is permitted unless otherwise approved by the Promoter.
Incomplete, offensive, inappropriate or fraudulent entries may be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Promoter.

5. Competition Type
This competition is a game of skill (for the individual prizes) and overall draw is a game of chance.
Each valid entry will be individually judged by Lazy Doxie Co. based on:
- Creativity
- Originality
- Brand suitability
- Dachshund theme/personality
- Overall fit for the product and brand aesthetic
The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

6. Prize
There are two prize categories in this promotion:
A. Hat Naming Prizes (Game of Skill)
Up to seven (7) entrants will be selected by Lazy Doxie Co. based on creativity, originality, brand suitability and overall fit for the brand.
Each selected entrant will receive:
- One (1) Lazy Doxie Co. sun hat in the colour they named.
B. Bonus Lucky Draw Prize
In addition to the judged prizes above, all valid entries received during the Competition Period will be entered into a random bonus draw.
One (1) entrant will receive:
- A full set of all seven (7) Lazy Doxie Co. sun hats.
Approximate total prize pool value: AUD $[INSERT VALUE].
Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
7. Winner Selection & Notification
Hat Naming Winners
The Hat Naming Winners will be selected by Lazy Doxie Co. on or before Wednesday 3 June 2026.
Entries will be judged on:
- Creativity
- Originality
- Brand suitability
- Dachshund theme/personality
- Overall fit for the Lazy Doxie Co. aesthetic
Chance plays no part in determining the Hat Naming Winners.
Bonus Lucky Draw Winner
The Bonus Lucky Draw Winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received during the Competition Period.
The bonus draw will take place on Wednesday 3 June 2026 following completion of the judged selection process.
All winners will be contacted via the email address and/or social media handles provided in their entry.

8. Use of Submitted Names
By entering this competition, entrants acknowledge and agree that:
- Lazy Doxie Co. may use, modify, adapt or reproduce submitted name ideas for commercial, marketing, branding and promotional purposes.
- Ownership and intellectual property rights of submitted names transfer to Lazy Doxie Co. upon entry.
- Entrants are not entitled to additional compensation, royalties or ongoing credit for submitted names, whether selected as a winning entry or not.

9. Shipping
Prize shipping is included for eligible winners located in Australia and New Zealand.
Any customs duties, import taxes or additional charges imposed by the destination country are the responsibility of the winner.
Lazy Doxie Co. is not responsible for shipping delays, customs delays or lost parcels once dispatched.

10. Privacy
Personal information collected during the competition will be used for:
- Administering the competition
- Contacting winners
- Delivering prizes
- Marketing communications where the entrant has opted in
Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Lazy Doxie Co. Privacy Policy.
Entrants may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.

This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram, Facebook or TikTok.
By entering, entrants completely release Instagram, Facebook and TikTok from all liability relating to the competition.

The Promoter reserves the right to:
- Verify the validity of entries
- Disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process
- Remove inappropriate or offensive submissions
- Cancel, modify or suspend the competition if necessary due to circumstances beyond reasonable control
The Promoter is not responsible for:
- Technical malfunctions
- Website outages
- Lost or delayed entries
- Typographical errors
- Incorrect contact information supplied by entrants
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter excludes all liability for any loss, damage or injury suffered in connection with the competition or prize.
