Here’s how you can tell your Lazy Doxie Co harness is fitting just right:

✅ Waist Strap Position – The waist strap sits well behind the front legs, not rubbing or digging into the underarms. This prevents chafing and allows full shoulder movement.

✅ Firm, Not Tight – The harness is snug enough that it won’t slip over the head or twist sideways, but loose enough that you can slide two fingers comfortably between the harness and your dog’s body.

✅ Flat Chest Plate – The chest plate lays smooth and flat against the chest without gaping or twisting. This ensures even pressure distribution and prevents strain on the neck.

✅ No Restriction of Movement – The design allows Vetkoek to walk, trot, and stretch without any straps pulling across the shoulders or armpits.

✅ Secure Buckles & Adjustments – All buckles are clipped firmly and adjustments are tight enough to hold position without sliding during wear.

What to Avoid in Harness Fit:

❌ Waist strap sitting right in the armpit area – causes rubbing and discomfort.

❌ Harness so loose it can slip forward over the shoulders or twist sideways.

❌ Chest plate lifting away from the body – means the harness isn’t snug enough.
