How to Choose the Right Size for Your Dachshund’s Waterproof Jacket
To ensure the best fit, please take accurate measurements before selecting your jacket size.
How to Measure
- Neck Circumference
Measure around your dachshund’s neck, just below the top of the sternum plate (the base of the throat). - Waist Circumference
Measure around the widest part of their chest/girth, approximately two finger-widths behind the front legs. - Back Measurement
Measure from the base of the neck (between the shoulder blades) down the spine to where the tail begins.
If Your Dachshund Falls Between Sizes
- Size Up If:
• They are still growing
• Both measurements sit closer to the larger size range - Size Down If:
• They are fully grown and sit closer to the smaller size
• One measurement fits clearly into the smaller size and does not overlap with the larger size
