How to Choose the Right Size for Your Dachshund’s Collar 

1. Measure around your dachshund’s neck where they would normally wear their collar (just above the top of where the harness finishes) to get their Neck Circumference measurement.
   
2. Match this measurement to our size table below to find your dachshund’s correct collar size.
   

Fit Check

Your dachshund’s collar should fit firmly but comfortably. You should be able to slide no more than two fingers under the collar when it’s fastened.

If Your Dachshund Is Between Sizes

• Size Up If:
  • They are still growing
  • Their neck measurement is closer to the upper end of the smaller size
  
• Size Down If:
  • They are fully grown and sit closer to the lower end of the size range
  

Helpful Weight Reference

While neck measurement is the most accurate method, typical dachshund weights often align as follows:

• Up to 4.5 kg: XS

• 5–7.5 kg: XS or S

• 7.5–10.5 kg: S

• 10.5 kg and above: S or M depending on neck size
